 Sunny
Beach is just that, a spectacular eight kilometre long stretch
of sand which has been awarded the international Blue Flag, so
it is little wonder that this resort is so popular. It is by far
the largest resort on the Black Sea coast, offering many hotels
interspersed with restaurants, bars and shops. Getting around is
easy with buses running up and down the main strip and also out
to Varna and Bourgas. Sunny Beach also boasts the best
night-life on the coast with numerous lively night-spots on
offer. Just to the west of Sunny Beach lies its quieter
neighbour Nessebur. Here you will find an Old Town that is home
of ancient monuments, quiet restaurants and fashionable cafes
Location:
On the southern Black Sea coast, near the town of Bourgas, and
about 30 km from Bourgas Airport.
Sports:
There
are plenty of opportunities for the sports enthusiasts: sailing,
windsurfing, jet skiing, paragliding, tennis, mini-golf,
cycling, bowling, boating, horse riding, etc. And for the more
adventurous of you there is the Deep Blue 2 PADI certified
diving centre, offering a full range of courses for adults and
children.
Places to visit:
The
evenings you can spend in any of the numerous night clubs and
pubs around the resort like the “Bar Variety" nightclub or
“Khan's Tent", but we would recommend the special campfire
picnic and the folklore show. Very popular among the tourists
are excursions to the Blue Mountain, the Bulgarian Village Trip
and the Sozopol River Boat Tour all organized from different
tour companies in the summer season. While Bourgas and Varna in
Bulgaria are very close to the resort , Istanbul in Turkey is
only a few hours drive away and a 2 day trip by bus is an
excellent weekend and shopping break.
Travel:
Sunny
Beach and Nessebar are served by Bourgas International Airport
situated of the of the city and south of Sunny Beach.. Charter
flights are available from some UK airports and there are talks
that low-cost airlines are to be flying to soon to Bourgas too.
There are a few daily bus and train connections with the capital
Sofia and the other parts of Bulgaria.

There
is ample stock of accommodation in Sunny Beach and Nessebaur
